Here's a photo for you of our friend, Timmy the Tortoise, as our friend Penny named him. John and Penny were housesitting the other side of the house for our first three weeks here. They are a very sweet couple and Penny is the one who found Timmy and plopped him in our shared yard. It's fun to have a little pet. He likes to eat lettuce, though is a bit shy when Oliver picks him up.
In other news, today we got registered for our French classes. Kirk will be taking two afternoon classes - on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and I will go on Monday and Friday afternoons. Now, to find a car so that we can get there...
Speaking of driving, we found out firsthand today that it is better to stay off the roads right before sundown during Ramadan. A wee bit of road rage out there. Hey, I too get grumpy when I'm hungry.
