It was Spring Break this week. We were able to spend 5 days in France and we were very thankful for the getaway and for special fun with Kirk's sister Heather and niece Morgan. We stayed in an apartment only a few Metro stops away from the heart of Paris. We ate LOTS of pains au chocolat (the best chocolate croissants on the face of the earth!!) and also bacon and ham. What a treat! The boys did very well and Nicholas was a champ at sleeping in the stroller. There was quite a bit of rain and wind one day, so we had to miss out on going to the top of the Eiffel tower. We hid under some playground equipment for a while instead! We did get to see Notre Dame and some of the Latin Quarter, go on the bateau-mouche (guided boat tour) on the Seine, see the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe all lit up at night, walk through the Marais quarter and eat good falafels and crêpes, and ride the trains and buses a lot!
