A break from the Casablanca photos to show you a couple from Nicholas's first birthday party. Unfortunately our camera isn't working currently, so we had to borrow one from a friend. So the pictures aren't great quality, but at least you can see our little Nico at his party. We just had a few friends over and ate chocolate cake, trifle, and ice cream. It was yummy. Nico was mainly fascinated by the plastic plate but did enjoy the cake and ice cream I think! Oliver was very excited for his brother to have his first birthday and to help him open his presents and blow out the candle. I also just took him for his one year old check-up with the doctor this morning. He weighs in at 22 pounds and was a brave boy for his MMR and Chicken Pox shots. Can't wait for our boys to be surrounded by family and our friends in America... it's hard to believe that two years have almost passed. We will fly back on June 24th and arrive the 25th. Looking forward to many things and special times with people we love! ps. Do you like Oliver's "special" outfit for the party? Mommy picked out the dress shirt, and Ollie insisted on the silky soccer shorts.

that first photo of nico immediately brings to mind some baby photos of you sarah. so proud that nico and tate both have so much of our side of the fam in them! :)

oh my gosh, nico is so BIG! look at that hair! and those eyes! oooo, i can't wait to snuggle him in june!
