... and some of our impressions:
The Atlantic Ocean is literally 2 blocks away!!! and all 3 of us are liking that.
There are flowers all over our house and many houses. We have seen honeysuckle, bouganvillea, oleander, lady of the night, jasmine, and lots of others we haven't heard the names of yet. This is also not the green part of the year, the grass is pretty dry, but the flowers are still lovely.
The floors get dirty and sandy fast. The sun in the afternoon is very hot.
Moroccans are nice to foreigners.
There are many street cats and dogs. There is a certain cat that doesn't want to take the hint that we will not be hosting him in our home.
Kirk felt like a real foreigner while walking in the streets of Casablanca with Oliver today. He tried to stop and buy some minutes for a cell phone, and failed. All he came away with was some cheap and yummy bread that Ollie wolfed down and some bubbly lemonade.
Speaking of Oliver, he seems to be adjusting quite well so far, though, oh my, he was crabby today.
We are enjoying meeting new people, but we do miss you!
Goodnight from Casablanca.
(We found out we probably won't be able to have our own internet and phone access for a while yet, but we'll try to get some photos up as soon as we can.)
